Funny Stories About Mom and Grandma

My mom and grandma are crazy, often resulting in a lot of funny stories. Thanks to Claudine Farhadi and Candice Farhadi, who often remember the stories better than I do, and who have recommended I write about them, I’ve decided to include in my blog these stories. Some of them are from the past, some just happened, and I’m sure many more will come. Here is the first, it just happened while watching game 7 of the Lakers - Celtics game — the one I didn’t end up getting tickets to and almost got scammed. Ended up watching at home with the family.

THE STORY

The other day, I was watching game 7 with my family and my grandmother. Ron Artest hit a shot in the lane and got fouled. As he did, me, my brother, my Dad and my mom all screamed in excitement. My grandmother was confused – she looked at the screen and then looked at us – she looked bewildered. We explained how he just made a great shot. 30 seconds go by. All of a sudden, I hear my grandmother scream “Dobareh Zad” (which in Farsi/Persian roughly translates to he made it again).
