Point of the blog

The point of the blog is not to write funny stories, but more of an impetus for me to just start writing. Eventually, I’d hope it takes some greater form or direction such that I write about a specific topic that I develop a passion for. I was just talking to my good friend Nick Melvoin about this — and I think he’s right in saying that there are a lot of funny bloggers out there, and it’s hard to keep up. Having said that, if there is enough demand for funny mom and grandma stories, maybe I’ll eventually dedicate a separate blog to those. For now though, I’m just working on developing my voice/writing style.

On another note, if you don’t know Nick, you should read about him. He is a true superstar and was recently called the “David Beckham of teaching.” Off to Palihouse now — hopefully will make for a nice Saturday night.
